Dental Exams & Cleanings in Tribeca
A full, unhurried look at your teeth and gums, with a gentle cleaning in the same visit.
Your exam is the baseline for everything else. We review your health history, take digital X-rays, check each tooth and your gums, and screen for oral cancer.
Then we clean, polish and talk through what we found in plain language. It suits new patients, anyone due for a checkup, and anyone who has been away from the dentist for a while.

Please bring any recent X-rays from a previous dentist, a list of the medications you take and your insurance details. Let us know ahead of time about any medical conditions. Patients under 18 need to come with a parent or guardian.

Questions, answered
Something else on your mind? Call us at (212) 274-8338.
How often should I get a dental cleaning?
Most people do well with a checkup and cleaning every six months. If you have gum disease or build up tartar quickly, we may suggest coming in more often. We’ll set a schedule that fits your mouth.
Are digital X-rays safe?
Digital X-rays use a low dose of radiation. We take them only when they help us see something an exam can’t, such as decay between teeth or bone below the gums.
Does a dental cleaning hurt?
A routine cleaning should feel like pressure and scraping, not pain. If your gums are tender or you feel anxious, tell us. We can slow down, take breaks and numb sensitive areas.
Is an oral cancer screening part of my exam?
Yes. We look at and feel your lips, cheeks, tongue and throat for any spots or lumps that need a closer look. It takes a few minutes and is painless.
Does insurance cover exams and cleanings?
Most PPO dental plans cover preventive visits. We are in-network with Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, Guardian, MetLife and Anthem. Call us and we can help you check your benefits.
